Kahlia is a co-founder and Managing Director of Hiya, with 8 years’ experience in both white and blue collar labour hire, permanent recruitment and recruitment consulting. In addition, she was instrumental in launching Hiya’s internal recruitment arm Office People in 2010 and, as its General Manager, led Office People to profitability in its first year. 

Hiya has developed a proprietary digital recruitment platform which incorporates video technology and is designed to streamline the recruitment process for employers, candidates and recruiters alike. Hiya’s all-in-one integrated recruitment tool encompasses candidate identification via a searchable marketplace of video resumés, screening and selection. Central to the platform is video functionality, enabling candidates to present themselves via a video resumé, answering questions in the form of a one-way interview designed to replace several of the time-consuming stages typically present in the current hiring process.

Jane Kou is the Founder & CEO of Bring Me Home, an app that helps people rescue delicious food from cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores with discounts. Bring Me Home’s mission is to cut retail food waste by making surplus food affordable and accessible to everyone.

Launched in August 2018 Melbourne, the Bring Me Home app has grown to over 14 suburbs in Melbourne and is in the process of expanding to Sydney. Bring Me Home was also listed as the top 10 startups in 2019 on SmartCompany.

Judy’s career has had a laser focus – to help people and organisations make innovation repeatable, scalable and profitable. Prior to leading Startup Victoria, Judy spent four and a half years at Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, Inventium. Judy has built a reputation as a world-class thought leader and keynote speaker on entrepreneurship, science based innovation & building startup communities. Before joining Inventium, she managed the National Innovation Program for Deloitte Australia, helping the organisation to experiment new products, services and ways of working to sustain its competitive advantage.

Startup Victoria is a non-profit organiser of the largest startup events in Australia. Startup Vic’s community numbers 19,000+ practising and aspiring startup founders, investors, ecosystem service providers and government policy influencers. Startup Vic’s mission is to support founder success.

Fiona has a professional background in investment banking, corporate advisory and wealth management. She has come from a property and construction family business that 15 years ago entered into venture capital investing.
Fiona has taken an active role in managing the ventures and was recently appointed CEO of Significant Capital Ventures, an ESV fund that is driving collaboration between private wealth and universities with a mandate to commercialise and co-create applied tech opportunities for global markets.

Emmanuel is a seasoned Senior Executive in business and digital transformation with 25 years experience in tech and consulting. Sharing his life between France and Australia, he worked in regional and global leadership positions for Hitachi and Hewlett-Packard and took multiple businesses from zero to several hundreds of millions of dollars. More recently, Emmanuel joined the entrepreneur community, advising European mid-size tech companies (like OVH) with their Asia Pacific expansion.
